Hi,
Have anyone found a method to rename the agents in a protection group ?
I have a several agents manually added to protection groups, and we used the short name.
Now we need to use the FQDN, so we need to change the name in Veeam, and do it without causing a new full backup, and with uninstall the agent software.
We use the Block level driver on the windows servers, and a reinstall will cause a reboot to remove and install the this.

Correcting the text:

Re: Rename agents in protection groups to FQDN
Hi,
The answer is pretty simple.
Just delete the agent in the protection group, and add it again using the FQDN.
Then the rescen will run a repair on the installation, and it will continue with incr backup.
Just one thing, don't have a pending reboot on the agent. That will cause the repair of agent to fail, that will then cause a Full backup after the reboot & repiar
