VBR 12.3 - Nothing new for Proxmox?

Post by sotea-np »

Just checked the Whats New https://www.veeam.com/veeam_backup_12_3 ... new_wn.pdf
Nothing new for Proxmox? I was hoping we would have seen more features, or maybe even LXC backup

Hello Nicki,

The 12.3 PVE release focused primarily on bug fixes, including issues resolved in the release detailed here.

Regarding your interest in LXC backup, could you share more about your use case?
For example, what kind of applications do you run in containers? Are they stateless, or do you use them to run databases or other stateful services?

Mostly stateless, but databases at some point is not out of the question.
Just want to only use Veeam for backup at some point. Currently we are required to use both Veeam and PBS/vzdump

Like most of ex-vmware users, I was expecting application aware support to be on top of request. Of course important issue resolution is even higher...
Anyway thanks for your feedback for each customer requests, that's something very important for me.
