Restore Azure VM --> VMware on-prem

Hi,

I successfully deployed Veeam backup for MS Azure. I was able to make a backup from a test VM in Azure into a newly created Storage Account.
My goal is to restore that backup to an On-Prem ESX host. Is this possible?

When I go to "Home" --> "Backups" --> "External Repo" in VBR I can see the backup job and the VM, but when I right click on it the only option that I see is "Restore to Microsoft Azure IaaS".

What am I doing wrong, or isn't it possible to restore an Azure VM to an On-Prem VMware ESX host?

Hi! To restore an Azure VM from an image-level backup to VMware vSphere, you should use the Instant Recovery feature as described in the Integration with Veeam Backup & Replication Guide.

Hello,

I have an Onpremise Repository used to have a copy of my Azure Backups.

Now I want to test to restore from this backup copy my Instances/Vms to an ESXi host.

The only restore option available is "Instant Vm Recovery", is that not possible to do a classic restore ?

Yeh, it's not possible. You must use Instant Recovery.
