how to update progressql

I've updated my vbr server from 12.2 to 12.3. I noticed my progress version is 15. The latest progressql is 17. How can I upgrade progressql without breaking my VBR?

Veeam Backup & Replication v12.3 only supports 14.x and 15.x. For now, please update PostgreSQL within the v15 release cycle. The latest version should be 15.10. Before proceeding with the upgrade, ensure you create a Veeam configuration backup.

PostgreSQL v17 will be supported in our next major release.

We plan to ship VBR V13 with PostgreSQL V17. It is very promising due to significant architectural improvements but this is also why we want to run it through its paces properly before adopting.

I've successfully updated postgres to 15.10-2, was a doddle to update it, off course first a backup of the database and an extra config backup prior to update just to be sure.

So it is supported to update v15 to the latest build without waiting for a Veeam update? It was mentioned in a previous post that we can't do this.

Can you please share a link to this topic?
You can always update the configuration database engine yourself within supported versions.
Which means for Veeam Backup & Replication v12.3, every public 14.x or 15.x build is supported by us.

Ah maybe there was some misunderstanding here, in versions i meant future 15.11, 15.12 etc. That's ok then.
