Do you currently deploy production Prism Element cluster(s) not part of any Prism Central scope?

[POLL] Prism Central vs. Prism Element usage

Post by ronnmartin61 » 3 people like this post

As Nutanix moves its customer base towards Prism Central we'd like to understand how important it is to continue to support standalone Prism Element clusters with Veeam. Your input is appreciated!

Prism Central is now managing licensing since Nutanix has changed is license model (PnP 2.0). So you need to have at least one in your environnement.

To avoid overloading small 3 nodes clusters with a PCVM that was not needed before, they add X-small deployment option that consume less ressources.
No more feature are coming into PE. Should be coherent that you put your priorities on PC and gradually stop supporting PE setup.

In all the integrations I have done I have always included the PC because of the PnP 2.0 licensing, but the truth is that Nutanix is discontinuing PE in the future.
Therefore, I think it is important to start "looking more seriously at the PC".
