When the Entra ID backup failed with this error below:
6/12/2024 12:25:17 PM :: Job has been stopped with failures. Error: Failed to add Microsoft Entra ID backup repository: No password has been provided but the backend requires one (in MD5)
I have asked our KB team if we can add more information to our KB4653. I think we may also need another KB to explain how to configure a password for the PostgreSQL server we have deployed.
Can you maybe open a support case and ask for guidance as long the KB is not updated. I can see similar support cases and support should be able to help.

At the moment, there are no validations. We plan to add them in one of the upcoming updates.
As for the password, we cannot access the database to retrieve it, but it is the same password that you may have set while setting up product (product setup the Database step).
I see that you're already in touch with our customer support team. Please continue to work with them for now, as support is the best option for getting answers specific to your environment and situation.

I have checked there is no existing Postgre SQL running on the default port TCP/5432 and nothing under Add remove Programs.
I will work on with the Support team, hopefully can get some traction with this issue.
