VBR Upgrade v10 to v12

First of all, I'm sorry, if this is not the right place for my post, I'm new here

I have a weird issue - When running setup.exe of VBR 12.3.0.310 (Latest version), I immediately get Error saying - "Unable to start the setup: the .NET Framework 6 is not supported on this operating system." I checked, .Net6 is installed. I reinstalled the full SDK with all the components, but I get the same error. Yes, the OS is old (W2008 R2), but it has been running only VBR and nothing else and is not connected to outside networks, so I don't see the reason for upgrade. Anyway - if the ancient OS is the reason, then the error message is not correct, because .NET 6 is working fine. Do you have any suggestions or workaround for this issue, other than OS upgrade?

Your operating system is simply not supported by Veeam Backup & Replication version 12.3, as per system requirements. Thanks!

Thank you for your answer. Yes, I am aware of that. I'm just curious, why the installer is complaining about NET framework, instead of just saying "Sorry, your OS is not supported by this version of VBR." It gives false information and feeling, that there is something wrong with the .NET installation.
