@chrmol we don't have any specific target date but are aware of the release and will be giving it a once-over as soon as scheduling permits.

Good news! Our QA team has been hard at work over the holidays and we've validated AOS 7 - https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/vbahv ... html?ver=7

[MERGED] Does the latest version support AHV 10?

Post by Amarokada »

On your main forum post on the latest version you state:

>This release has been tested to AHV 7.0

However I've been told that no such version of AHV exists. Before AHV 10 apparently they used dates as version numbers, such as 20230302.100187.

Can someone confirm AHV 10 is supported? I think it will be as the unified release of AOS 7 includes it.

Regards
Rob

@Amarokada our support is based on AOS versioning independent of the underlying hypervisor version. To the best of my knowledge we have never issued support statements regarding the AHV hypervisor versioning which you are correct is version 10. However I do see your point now that Nutanix has moved to different hypervisor versioning and will update the main post.

AOS 7.0.0.5 is out and is the version we are targeting as an upgrade from the unsupported 6.8.0.5. Can I assume minor updates like 0.0.5 would also be included as compatible, or would you say we have to go to 7.0.0.0 and wait?

@Amarokada 7.0.0.5 is supported but we've not explicitly tested it and generally don't for minor point releases like this. Nutanix' commitment is to always maintain full backward API compatibility however as we saw with 6.8 mistakes can happen (though very rare). 7.0.0.0 is the safe bet but again 7.0.0.5 should be ok
