What to do with output when .vbk with Extract Utility
Hi, I'm getting weird output when successfully extracting my .vbk full backup from a windows 11 pc, there is only 1 vm in the list.
I'm getting a folder on the destination with some files like:
5df960b7-939c-439b-a145-827ca473c239
digest_8957a0d3-56da-11ed-ad23-f46b8cc31240
The files have no extension, I don't know what to do next to get the files back.
Greedy Marcel.

These are raw disk images, you would have to somehow manually mount them to an OS that understands the file system in them.
What are you trying to achieve by using extract versus performing file-level recovery normally using product UI?

@Gostev
Unfortunately, I only have the .vbk and this was created with a different PC that is no longer here using a different configured Veeam Agent for Windows. My agent does not read the .vbk because it belongs to a different backup. Do you have any idea how I can mount it?

How old was the version of agent used to create it? Try to import it with Veeam Backup & Replication.

The backup is from 2021, I don't know exactly which version the agent had at that time. I tried Veeam Backup and Replication but It requires login information, although the backup is not encrypted. The login information comes from the old PC and I tried the correct ones but they will not be accepted.

Hmm, Import Backup in VBR should never require any "login information" from the original machine so I'm completely puzzled with what you're seeing. @Dima P. please take over.

Hello MustafGames,
Can you please confirm that you've followed the procedure described in the Help Center: Importing Backups Manually?
