I'm on V12.2.
I'm backing up a VM requested by user and just found out that VM has only a single disk and it's independent. When I look into Veeam job status/report, it say the VM backup successfully, despite no vmdk being backup.
Then I test to backup a VM with one dependent disk and one independent disk, the job finished with warning (which is how I expect it to be). Veeam job report show Disk Test.vmdk has been skipped due to an unsupported type (independent disk).
Question, would it be possible for Veeam to also report the job as warning when the VM only has a single disk and it's independent? At the moment, in my case Veeam reported it as success and can be misleading to our backup team.

Re: Veeam finished processing VM with independent disk with status success despite no vmdk being backup
Hi Nas,
By default, we only warn on the first run regarding VMs with independent disks or other incompatible configurations. The logic here is that often backup administrators will not have control over what gets added to jobs (e.g., if they use tags or other hierarchy items to add machines to backup jobs), and VMs with disks that cannot be backed up will be added/removed. Rather than warn every time for machines known to have such incompatible configurations, the first time the job processes such a machine a warning is produced, and subsequent backups are "green"
