Hello,
we plan on implementing backup from S3 services (CEPH) with the new S3 backup functionality. Currently we are backing these systems up via normal VM backups but this means we have to backup the data at least two times so the systems are in Quorum after disaster recovery. Also, in theory this could lead to inconsistencies.
The S3 systems are in a separate Network and Bandwidth is limited to/from that network. For that reason backup directly from S3 to tape is not really an realistic option for each backup run.
Is there any way to create a full S3 tape backup from an incremental S3 backup? If not, when will this functionality be available?

Hello Markus,
Only direct to tape is possible for now.Is there any way to create a full S3 tape backup from an incremental S3 backup?
We have a short-term plan to deliver such functionality. Thank you for your feedback! If not, when will this functionality be available?
