feature requests Veeam Backup for AWS
Hi team,
We are looking for the following feature request for Veeam Backup for AWS.
Ability to set a password complexity and rotation policy on application layer
Prompt user to change password at first logon
When a user password expires, application should prompt to change password at next logon
Authentication with LDAP/AD support would be nice to remove the need for local accounts
Thanks,
Benny

Hi,
Thanks for the list of requests. Regarding LDAP/AD support, are you talking about a local AD or integration with Microsoft Entra ID since we do support SSO integrations as of today?

The Authentication with LDAP/AD support is for the UI of Veeam backup for AWS.
Where only local accounts are possible so far as I can see

Depending on which exact service you use, it could potentially work after configuring the SSO settings after which you can configure roles for specific users part of your setup.

We can't do SAML2.0 in this environment, our identity provider is local Active Directory.
Hence why it would be nice to have a way to integrate using LDAP or LDAPs.
This is a PCI environment, it's an island.

Thanks for the update and clarification. We don't have any short-term plans for this but this could be a good enhancement in future releases.
