Re: Backup SharePoint on-prem
Hello,
Please have a look at this page for the required job settings. Long story short, you need to back up the workloads with application-aware image processing enabled, and item-level recovery is available in Veeam Explorer for Microsoft SharePoint. The account specified in the job settings for SharePoint must have the Farm Administrator role, please refer to this table for more details.
Also, which SQL clusters are you referring to? Are they virtual or physical? Do you have Always On or not? We need to keep in mind the supported scenarios for virtual Always On and the general limitations for failover cluster support.
Thanks!

Re: Backup SharePoint on-prem
Hello,
Long story short, if the SharePoint and SQL workloads are all virtual, you can back them up in a single image-level job. If some of them are virtual and some are physical, or if all are physical, then you should use a Veeam Agent for Windows job. I recommend reviewing the documentation using the links I've sent, especially regarding Always On processing.
Thanks!
