Exclude in backup job by category

Hi

We have Nutanix backup job selecting a category. Then we have some VM's with the category NoBackup for VM's that should not be backed up.

This is not working.

An example, a VM has the category DC2-Production and NoBackup. The Veeam backup job is selecting the category DC2-Production to populate VM's to backup. The example VM that has got the NoBackup category get's backed up. The NoBackup category is configured in 'exclude on the backup job.

Is this by design?

If I understand your case correctly, that should work. I would suggest to reach customer support if it does not in your case.

Overall, everything from the exclusions list should not be protected -- exclude rules have higher priority than include ones.
