Mixing VMware and Proxmox on same VBR server

Post by davide.depaoli »

Hello,
I am approaching proxmox for possible future vmware infrastructure replacements.
I wanted to try veeam integration and ask if it is possible to use VBR with both vmware and proxmox, without installing a new VBR server with proxmox trial license.

thanks in advance
best regards
Davide

Hello Davide,

Yes, you can. Just make sure you are running latest release of VBR.

Hi Davide

Im addition to Rovshans comment, make sure to have a VUL license installed and not only a socket license. Proxmox does not work with legacy socket licensing, therefore you need to have free instance licenses.

In case you still socket licensing, you should be able to use the complimentary instances per socket to test Proxmox backups.

Best,

Thanks to all.
I have VUL licensed VBR and I was able to configure the proxmox cluster.

Best regards
Davide
