How surebackup is supposed to be used ?

Yesterday I decided to try the surebackup functionality. I was worried by execution time, so I selected a single windows vm (file indexing is not enabled in the backup job).
That vm has 3 disks, drive c: is 80 GB, the others are much bigger. Both scan options are selected (Veeam Threat Hunter and Yara rules). The task has been scanning drive c:\ for 22 hours and I have no idea of the progress. So I wonder which is the usefulness of a tool which needs days to scan and verify a single VM backup. Am I misusing it ?

22 hours does seem a bit long at first blush, but this can depend on many environmental factors. For example, in my lab a validation of an Oracle Server (80 GiB) took 13 minutes in a virtualized environment.

Please open a Support Case and let Support review the logs; they will be able to identify the bottleneck in the environment or any issues that lead to the long scan times; likely they will focus on checking the performance of the mount server in question, but a Support case is the way to go. Be sure to include logs for Support to review. (Use the 1st radio button to select from jobs, select the SureBackup job, and export logs)

Please share your case number once created.

I will wait longer hoping the task will end, otherwise, if I stop it manually, don't know if the logs will contain useful information.

Approximately 40 hours for a single vm with 3 disks for a total of 2 TB
