Hi, a simple question: could the Veeam Plug-in for Oracle RMAN be deployed automatically and being consequently managed (as it happens with the Veeam Agent for IBM AIX 4.6) by the Veeam B&R Server? I was able to use a defined Protection Groups for Individual computers (for an AIX LPAR, in my case) to install the Agent but, despite the PG settings, the Oracle RMAN plug-in was not installed at all. Are there restrictions about the OS (AIX machine) absent with, maybe, Linux or Microsoft?
In another test we were able to install the plug-in manually (from the rpm) but it was not even recognized as installed by the Veeam B&R Server (we accepted the no managed property in that way of deployment but, at least, we though the B&R Server should have been able to report the Plug-in as installed on the (rescanned) machine.

Re: [AIX] Veeam Plug-in for Oracle RMAN (12.3.0.310)
Hi Davide,
No, it is not possible: the Veeam plug-in for Oracle RMAN on AIX cannot operate in managed mode, only standalone mode is currently available. Nevertheless, your feature request has been noted.
Thanks!
