reconfiguring or recreating replication job

Post by mpm@aramark »

I've created a replication job where I've specified individual VMs. I now want to reconfigure or more likely recreate the job where I specify a folder where the VMs reside. I am certain in either case I will need to run a full replication. Will the replication target dedupe the VMs even though it's a new replication job? Not that I am concerned about space. I am just curious. Hope I explained it well enough. TIA.
Orig Replication Job:
Server_1
Server_2
Server_3
New Replication Job:
Folder123 (contains Server_1/_2/_3)

You can through your vCenter move the current replica to the new folder(s) you want to store them in. Once done, you can re-create the job, but enable the replica mapping feature: https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... eding.html

This will cause a bit of a longer first run on the job, but it won't need to transfer all the existing data, from the second run it will be business as usual.
