Hi,

I see the error "System.Exception was thrown" in a M365 Mail and Archiv Backup-Job.

The logs shows also "Failed to extend mailbox immutability". The Job has a retention of one year and a immutability of 180 days.

Only one Mailbox in this job is affected. All other mailboxes work as expected.

Support is not realy helpfull here! Only one response in 14 days. Requesting updates to the case are also not replied from support. :(

The Only mention from support was to try the following
1. Edit the backup job and add the mailbox to the exclusion list
2. Create a new backup job named "Test"
a. Add only the mailbox to the job
b. Point the "Test" job to the same repository as the main job
3. Open PowerShell and run the following:
Get-VBOJob -Name "Test" | Start-VBOJob -RunAsync -Full
4. Once finished successfully:
a. Delete the "Test" job
b. Edit the main job and remove the mailbox from the Exclusion list
But this doesn't help. The newly create job errors out with the same failure,

Has here anybody any idea about it?

Again nearly one week without any response. This is so frustrating! Ongoing issue for 3 weeks now, with only 2 responses from support.

Hi,

Did you receive the fix for this error? I currently am receiving the same error on a object storage repository attached to linux proxies, I have an open case with Veeam currently but they don't seem to be moving as quickly as I would like.

A fix was provided to Rene. You may share Rene's case number with your support engineer and ask them to verify if you are affected by the same issue. Could you please share your case number here as well?

After nearly 2 month I had received a fix for that and it works. But the fix ist not included in the newest version so I had to stay on fixed version. I hope it will be in the next version.

I have the same issue and a case open with support, 03272179. Hopefully they will release the fix quickly. I am running version 8.1.1.159 and have multiple repositories with this problem.
