Retention period Balance
Is there a way to know the remaining retention period of a backed up file ( to know when that file will be deleted) ?

Re: Retention period Balance
Hi Mohamed,
Retention is not set for backup files but for restore points. In simple terms, a restore point reflects the state of your data at a specific point in time, while a backup file is simply a container that stores this data. The actual retention period depends on the type of backup chain. Please refer to this section in our user guide and to this KB article. You can open the backup properties to get the list of restore points along with their creation dates. If you know the type of backup chain, the restore point creation date, and the retention period set in the job settings, you can determine when a specific restore point, and the corresponding backup files will be deleted.
Thanks!
