Worker test fails at "Connecting to worker core service"

Post by JustAnAccount »

Hey

I'm switching our servers from ESXi to Proxmox. While setting up Veeam (Build: 12.3.0.310) on the Proxmox host, it asks to create a worker. Everything goes smoothly until the testing phase of the worker, where it hangs on 'Connecting to worker core service.' I've tried multiple times, but it keeps timing out on this specific task. Anybody has an idea what is going wrong?

Update:

The workers opens its own connections during the process back to the Veaam server. So even with a statefull firewall you have to allow the connection from the Worker to the Veeam Host too for the connections starting from the worker itself.

Now that I did this change in the firewall it is working.
