Hi,
My backups are getting huge and I have retention set to 30days, my question is, when retention runs and removes data older than 30 days is it supposed to reduce the size of the of the .adb database files are does it just free up white space within like other classic databases (exchange etc.).
If it does just free up white space within the databases, is there any method of compactings them?
Any insight would be much appreciated.

Re: Retention Policy and database size
Hi Christian,
No, it's not supposed to reduce the size.
