Veeam Extract question

I'm using the Extractor on a VBK and it's extracting a few long alphanumeric files the size of my backed up disk but with no file extensions. What are these file? Zip? Vhdx? Once it's extracted, how do I open it? Thanks.

VBM missing and need to extract vbk.

You can import a backup by .vbk and restore from it.

I don't have VBR. Can anyone my question please instead of telling me to do something else? Thanks.

I moved the topic to the appropriate forum branch dedicated to Veeam Agent for Windows.

If you don't have Veeam Backup & Replication, please contact our support team, they may be able to regenerate the .vbm file for you. The extractor tool is not a supported method for recovering data in the case of standalone Veeam Agent for Windows, this tool can be used only to extract machines from backup files. Additionally, I recommend investigating the root cause of the .vbm file loss.
