Issues updating Orchestrator's embedded Veeam Backup server to 12.3.1

Hello all,

Customers who attempt to update the embedded Veeam Backup & Replication (VBR) server - which is co-installed on every Veeam Orchestrator server - to v12.3.1 may experience errors running the VBR upgrade wizard, such as 'Setup has detected inconsistent configuration'.
There is a workaround which can help customers who need to urgently patch the VBR server due to the recent CVE.

The workaround is to first install the EntraID plugin from the VBR 12.3.1 ISO, found here - \Plugins\Microsoft Entra ID\VeeamEntraIdPlugin.msi
Thereafter the VBR upgrade wizard will run successfully.

This issue will be fully resolved when the repacked Veeam Data Platform (VDP) ISO is released at the end of the month. Then VBR upgrade to 12.3.1 will run with no issues from the VDP ISO. Until then please use the workaround to patch the VBR on VRO installations.
