Idea: Allow a schedule to specify full refresh, not incremental

Post by gannon »

Issue: formulas are not updated in the VBSF backup, but I'd like to be able to update them on specific objects.
Suggestion: it would be great if I could specify that a backup could perform a full scan of Salesforce (which I raised as a separate functional idea here: veeam-backup-for-salesforce-f65/idea-ad ... 98117.html) for certain objects rather than just incremental.
What that means: To me, this means there are two backup types - incremental and full. Full would ignore however Veeam deals with the lastmodifieddate that it has already processed and just pull in everything. It would be the onus on the user to ensure they didn't pull in an object with millions of records!
Justification: This would expand the functionality of Veeam, we use the database for some reporting but formulas are problematic as they don't trigger changes per se and therefore can be outdated in Veeam.

👍 Please like if you think this is a good idea, I'd love to see it incorporated into the core product.

Hello, @gannon
Please see "Object Fields Reload" option, it is designed specifically to reload records with formula fields.
Please let me know if there still any questions.
Thanks.

This is great, I wasn't aware of how simple this was, we'd been moving this to other schedules.
The only thing missing for me, is I would like to do the full reload once per week/fortnight/month.
There is currently no option for me to schedule this or to call it via any API as far as I am aware.
Thank you!!!
