Backups for RDS instances rather than only snapshots

Hi,

Currently we only have snapshots configured for the AWS RDS instances. We are unable to configure a backup job for those RDS instances to copy the data into an S3 bucket like we can do for the EC2 instances.

Is this a feature we can expect soon in the future? I approached Veeam support for this in Case #07654971 and they asked me to come here.

We do have these plans on the roadmap. Currently, we do support Postgres to S3. Could you let me know which database types you are using?

We only have MSSQL and Oracle databases in our infra. Is there any way to get them backed up in S3?
