Hello dear Veeam gurus!
I need to move a bunch of jobs between an old and a new repository.
The "move backup" feature works fine!... on standard jobs but not on nutanix jobs (veeam backup for AHV).
Indeed this KB https://www.veeam.com/kb2851 states that the solution is to copy the backup chains (outside of veeam) then rescan, and so on... Bottom line it will be mostly manual, tedious, prone to error work.
Can we avoid this by adding both repository to a new SOBR, put the old one in maintenance, evacuate the data to the new one then remove the old from the sobr?
The point is : will the evacuation work with veeam backup for AHV backup chains?
Do SOBR use the move feature to perform the evacuation? => then it would not move the ahv backups
Do SOBR simply copy during the evacuation? => then it should work as well for ahv backups, correct?
Looking forward to your insights!

Re: Move backup chains between 2 repository (manually or SOBR OK?)
Yes I've successfully tested the SOBR evacuation approach personally and confirmed that it is also formally supported for this type of AHV backup migration. Still subject to the limits outlined at https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... imitations of course
