Managing Storage Vaults

Post by JasonOrchardIMNZ »

:D HI R&D team
I'm Looking for a few options as enhancement for Managing Storage Vaults either in WebUI or VBR server
  • Delete vaults which are no longer in use
  • Delete folder within a Storage Vaults
  • Explore content in vault outside of VBR server
  • Recover orphaned files objects and delete Them
  • View immutability status on backup files

Re: Managing Storage Vaults

In the future, we plan to display the expiration date of immutability for the corresponding restore points in the backup settings.

As for the other requests, the situation is as follows:

- You can't just delete the Vault, after all, we are talking about immutable storage. And to cancel the subscription, you need to contact technical support.

- Viewing the content of the Vault through third-party applications is not really feasible, as we assume all work with it happens through Veeam products. Plus, the use case is not very clear, after all, the set of blocks and metadata you will see if you connect to the storage directly is unlikely to tell you anything.

- The request for restoring and deleting orphaned files is not very clear, as if one action contradicts the other.

Thanks!
