Internal access to AWS services used by VB4AWS
The following is a description of the AWS services used in VB4AWS:
To perform backup and restore operations, the AWS Plug-In for Veeam Backup & Replication, backup appliance and worker instances must have outbound internet access to the following AWS services.
https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/vbaws ... =9#workers
Even if I can communicate with AWS services within AWS using Route53, do I need to be able to access AWS services via the Internet
to be able to back up and restore with VB4AWS?
Regards,

Hi,
Within VB for AWS, you can enable private deployment mode, which should help you with your required configuration. Please check the user guide and let me know if this helps.

Thank you for your reply.
Is private deployment only for workers?
This time, VBR is also on AWS.
Will there be no problem if VB4AWS can communicate with internal AWS services that are resolved by Route53?
Or do I need to communicate with AWS services via the Internet?

Private deployment is for the whole appliance. You can even connect to the private IP from VBR. I'm not aware of any resolve issues.

Re: Internal access to AWS services used by VB4AWS
I understand that this applies to the entire appliance.
It says that outbound internet is required for the URL below.
So I was checking whether even with Private Deployment, I need to access AWS services via the internet, instead of communicating with internal AWS services through an interface endpoint.
https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/vbaws ... html?ver=9
I understand that if internal communication with AWS services is possible, access via the internet is not required.
Is this correct?

Hi,
Certain services may require it like our updater however you can use a proxy to download those updates.
In case you face any issues, please let us know or open a support case for help.
