Hello,
On one of my customer, I will have to create new tag and assign them to the correct VM.
Today backup are already performed using TAG, backup are encrypted.
My issue is the repository will probably not be enough big to handle new backup chain of all the VM.
If I correctly understand what I need to do is :
Create my news backup jobs with associated TAG
Move backup for each VM from old job to the associated new one
This should works right ?
With powershell, the same steps are involved or there are more needed ?
Thanks

Re: Change VM from backup job
Hi matteu,
If I get it right, the only thing that is changing is the tag used to add the VMs to the job, correct?
If so, you can simply create the new job, map to the existing backups, and you will be fine.
You can use Powershell if desired of course and the process does not change.
Tags are hierarchy objects which are resolved to actual VMs underneath the tags, and from there everything works as if you had added the VMs directly to the job.
