Object Storage Gateway Monitoring

Post by EricinIT »

I had a object storage gateway server (Linux host) go offline. Veeam ONE never reported an issue with it. I went to look for the server in Veeam ONE and it's not even showing there. I couldn't even find it by searching the server name of the gateway Linux host. The Veeam Backup and Replication server shows the Linux host as offline in Backup Infrastructure > Managed Servers > Unavailable (1) menu. Am I missing it in Veeam ONE or does Veeam ONE not monitor object storage gateway servers?

Hello Eric,
Gateway Servers, or for that matter not all Managed Servers in Veeam Backup & Replication. But this is an excellent idea and we should add more, or all types that the backup server supports.

Sometimes we have events in VeeamONE coming from the Backup Server, but we do not have alarms defined. Can you check under Veeam ONE Monitor - Veeam Backup & Replication - Your VBR - Tasks & Events, and look for the timestamp when this occurred, can you see it there?

I need more time to run it on my lab.

Checking in Tasks & Events doesn't show any events with a search for the object storage gateway server name.
