SQL Data size
Is there a simple way with VeeamONE or anything else to get a simple picture of how much SQL data is being backed up per server? I Dont see anything anywhere for this.

Re: SQL Data size
Or how about any report that can show me how big the backup data is for each vm? Seems simple enough but i cant find anything like it.
I managed to find a report "Veeam Backup Files Growth" which breaks out each vm and shows you all the restore points and you can manually total them up for each one but even that doesnt make sense. The number totaled dont match at all with what i am seeing in VBR if i go to disk-->job name -->properties-->click vm. Add up all the vib and vbk sizes manually....i get a vastly different number
Where is a general report that shows how big each vm is on disk? Does that exist?

Re: SQL Data size
Hello jcofin13
In the first post, are you asking about the SQL backup plugin?
For the second question, most probably you are looking for Backups on Repository report. Some size fields were discussed in this thread. Please take a look and let me know if it suits your needs.
Thanks

Hello jcofin13
Oh yes, indeed the link would not work. I put this picture I have that explains some properties and their locations.

Thanks

Re: SQL Data size
Thank you for this. I was aware of these properties screen and sizing. This will have to be good enough along with the size on repo report. I was hoping that there would be something somewhere that could calculate the SQL data only as part of the application aware processing portion of the backup but my guess is it probably cant do that because thats not a function of VSS. It probably is possible to see "application data" if using the SQL plugin for the enterprise app side of things but we don't currently use that anywhere. I did see a category for "application data" on one of the reports and it always was showing 0 (likely because its a plugin based metric and not a application aware processioning metric).

Re: SQL Data size
Hello jcofin13,
Yes, it's correct.
Please be aware that there are managed plugins, also known as applications, for which monitoring is supported, and unmanaged plugins, for which monitoring is not yet supported.
Thanks
