I've recently discovered that VMWare VBR jobs have some features that VBR jobs for Hyper-V do not, most notably:
Resume Disconnected Backups: https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=120
Snapshot Hunter: https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=120
I can't find the equivalent pages for either functionality in the Hyper-V documentation, can someone confirm neither of those things are functionality present when working with Hyper-V?
If so, I'd like to request both for the Hyper-V functionality. I have some Hyper-V jobs that leave behind erroneous snapshots on occasion, as well as jobs that sometimes get interrupted due to poor network connectivity.

Re: VBR Features for VMWare Missing for Hyper-V
Hi Tim,
Well, good news is that Hyper-V does have Resume on Disconnect
As for snapshot hunter, this is a bit more of a VMware specific feature, as while checkpoints and snapshots operate similarly, there are some key differences. Snapshot hunter triggers on the consolidation alert from VMware, and clearing the snapshots needing consolidation can be done without downtime for the production machine.
With Hyper-V checkpoints, the process is a bit different and often requires manual intervention and downtime for the server to complete, which doesn't really work for an automated process.
Veeam already does try to clean up unused checkpoints when it can, and very often the lingering checkpoints are the result of Hyper-V being unable to clear the checkpoint; in other words Veeam will try during processing to ensure it does not leave behind checkpoints, but if Hyper-V fails to remove the checkpoint, very likely manual intervention is required at that stage.

Thanks for explaining that. That all makes sense. I am not sure how I missed that page now since it has basically the exact same name.
