As part of our transition from sockets to instances we're seeing some workload related to revoking systems that no longer exist, as well as people not following procedures in terms of creating test machines that don't need to be backed up. The problem arises when going through the instances page on EM, which is here: https://veeamserver.example:9443/index. ... /instances
It's kind of a pain to clean up stuff, and the specific requests I am about to list will probably illustrate why.
Requested features:
Allow multiple selection of instances to be revoked
Increase pagination from 100 to 500 records
After hitting the Revoke button, return to the previous page (this one is really annoying)

We do not plan to support multi-select for revoking licenses, but could you describe your scenario that requires regularly removing licenses from dozens of protected workloads? Thanks!
No problem, although in my opinion, they seemed to be related to one request - the ability to remove licenses from dozens, if not hundreds, of workloads at once.
That's why I actually requested more information regarding your use case, because the provided information didn't fully illuminate it, or are dozens or hundreds of test machines regularly created in your infrastructure and going out of use in the same quantity?
Thanks. In our case it's just regular churn. Our policy is that any VM in our clusters is automatically added to Veeam unless steps have been taken to exclude it. Back in the good old days where socket licenses were the key differentiator between Veeam and everybody else this wasn't a problem, which led to habits that are hard to break and detrimental to our license count. In other words, there's a lot of churn and it's going to take a while before people finally start creating test stuff without generating a license hit from it.

Also that last bullet point, good grief. If I'm on the third or eighth page of instances and remove one, getting sent back to page one and having to remember which page I left off at is maddening.

What about the pagination bug where after the license is removed the UI returns to the first page regardless of where the user was previously at? Look: Veeam forced us down this road of per-instance licensing. It's pouring salt on the wound to have such poorly-conceived UX for license management on top of that insult.

Glad to hear the very frustrating bug will be fixed. Recently had to revoke a group of licenses, and even though all the servers started with the same prefix, it must have taken me 30 min.
Time wasted is one thing, but time wasted hating my life because basic features are lacking and/or buggy is a whole different thing.
