Agent retention seems to be deleting restore points prematurely

Hi Team,

I've noticed that Agent restore points sometimes go missing before they should (based on my understanding of the job configuration options).

The scenario is an Agent job is triggered based on the backup storage being plugged in and no more often than once a day - in this case, that means the laptop to the corporate network somewhere, where the Agent can see the repo on the B&R server, and only if there hasn't been a backup in the prior 24 hours.

The retention on the Agent job is set to "Keep backups for: 14 days (excluding days with no backup). My understanding is that if a backup hasn't run on a day or several days, then the minimum number of restore points retained in the repo should be 14.

The laptop might not see the corporate network for a few days/week/occasionally a couple of weeks, but when the job runs, it looks like it removes a bunch of extra retention points, even though there has been days where no backup has run.

I've definitely seen occasions where the whole chain has been removed, excluding a full newest restore point, after a period of leave. As of right now, for this unit I currently see 10 retention points stored, as there was no backup on the 2nd/3rd/4th of May (it's currently Monday the 5th as I'm writing this). I see the same issue occur in other machines that are part of the same Agent job too, but not as commonly.

Is this expected behaviour, or have I misunderstood the retention?
