Hello,
I would like to ask if it's possible to perform a cross-tenant restore using Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365. Specifically, is it supported to restore data from one Microsoft 365 tenant to another?
For example, if Company1 acquires Company2 as part of a company acquisition, can we restore user data (such as mailbox items, OneDrive, SharePoint, or Teams data) from Company2\Tenant2 into the corresponding users or services in Company1\Tenant1?
Thanks in advance for the clarification!
Best regards,
Tondas

Re: Cross-Tenant Restore in Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365
Hi Tondas,
VDC for Microsoft 365 does not support cross-tenant restores.
If you’re looking into cross-tenant migration, I recommend using tools specifically built for migration purposes. These typically offer features like pre-synchronization of content and cutover functionality for the day of the migration.
Best,
Fabian
