Hi Veeam Team and Community,
Hope you're all doing well!
We're currently in the process of planning our upcoming SUSE Linux Enterprise Server upgrades and are looking towards SLES 15 SP7, which was recently released.
To ensure our backup strategy remains robust, I was checking the Veeam repository for the Linux Agent to see if packages for SLES 15 SP7 are available. I looked at the following official repository URL:
https://repository.veeam.com/backup/lin ... /rpm/sles/
From what I can see, there isn't a directory for sles15sp7 (or a similar naming convention) listed there yet. The latest I see is for SP6.
Could you please provide an update or an estimated timeframe for when SLES 15 SP7 will be officially supported by the Veeam Agent for Linux? Knowing this would be incredibly helpful for our internal planning and deployment schedules.
If there's a beta program or any preliminary information available, that would also be appreciated.
Thanks so much for your time and any information you can share!

Re: Veeam Agent for Linux - SLES 15 SP7 Support Timeline?
Hi. Ryan.
Our standard target for new OS/platform/app versions support is 90 days from GA date, driven purely by typical periodicity of release vehicles (aka maintenance releases) which are quarterly.
In addition, for Enterprise-focused Linux distributions, we're often able to provide a patch for the latest product version to enable support much sooner (like it has just happened with RHEL 9.6), before "out of the box" support comes with the next maintenance release.
Thanks

Re: Veeam Agent for Linux - SLES 15 SP7 Support Timeline?
Great thanks for the info, I decided to try out the SP6 version to see if it would work and it looks like there are some compatibility issues (with the snap version) to work though with the new version of the kernel as it doesn't want to even install. I'll wait for it to go GA and check back soon. Thanks Gostev!

@EcoboostPerformance also I've just heard back from QA that they did look at the beta when it was first made available and did not find any significant problems. So there's good chance that the official support will not take long.
