Backup Copy sending as new object

Post by jpmart »

I moved a VM object from Backup JobA to JobB. JobB was cloned from JobA but now only includes the object that was moved. There is a secondary target for the Backup Copy. My issue is now the Backup Copy job is sending as a new object on the Disk (Copy). How do I force it to use the same copy object using the same chain? I'm not looking to resend all the backup data just because i had to move the protected system to a new Backup Job. Hopefully I explained that clearly. Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Hi Jared and Welcome to Veeam R&D Forums!

Did you try to map backup copy?

Thanks!

Yes I tried the map backup copy and it sent as a new object. I have 2-3 more objects that require moving and will see what happens again. Thanks for your reply.
