How badly does Veeam need to use Application Aware processing on a Microsoft Certificate Authority server?
It seems a CA uses a Microsoft JetBlue database locally. Anyone have personal experience safely restoring a CA without App-Aware processing?
We are trying to limit using App-Aware processing for those servers that require it (like SQL, AD, Exchange, etc.) - but a CA running a JetBlue database seems like a gray area to me. Since a CA is a high-level server, we don't want to poke unnecessary holes in security.

Re: App Aware processing - Microsoft Certificate Authority server?
Shouldn’t you shutdown your ca and only use an intermediate? That said , I guess that you can just use native hypervisor snapshotting as the db would mostly be idling.
Someone correct me if im wrong

Re: App Aware processing - Microsoft Certificate Authority server?
Hello,
I strongly recommend using the application-aware image processing whenever possible. Also, you may refer to this FAQ for more details.
Thanks!
