Backup Proxy Can't See vSAN

Post by stryker54141 »

I have my backup proxy on one of the ESXi hosts in my vSAN cluster, and its drives are on the vSAN as well. When I attempt to adjust the Manual Selection of the datastore under the proxy settings, it only sees the local disks of my hosts and not the vSAN. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Hello,

You can use HotAdd or Network transport modes to protect VMs residing on vSAN, as indicated on this page:
For VMs residing on vSAN. You can use Virtual appliance and Network transport modes to process such VMs. For details on vSAN restrictions, see VDDK release notes.
Thanks!
