Replication, re add a deleted VM

Post by exmoor »

Hi all, I have an issue where we have added a VM to a replication job, we have then deleted it and I need to re add it. We need to add the VM to removable storage initially as its around a Tb. Problem is after deleting it I can't get it to do the initial replication to the removable storage.

Has anybody go any tips?, we really need to keep the replication as one job to keep the backup window as short as possible.

Thanks

Allan

Hi Allan,

Why do you want to put this VM on the removable storage? Do you need to ship it to offline location and then configure replication job to do only incremental passes? If this is the case, then please check out this topic for more info: Offsite Replication V6 Preparation

Thanks!
