Feature Request - Threat Hunter Summary Notification

Post by richardbradley »

Hi Guys,
We have been testing Threat Hunter and it works great however we are having issues with the notifications.
We simply get an email saying something was found and no other information.
To get any information we need to open the console (Which has restricted access of course), open the job summary and then selct a button which opens a text based log file.
Is there anyway to provide some better information in the email notification???

We are about to test this against VeeamONE to see what this an do but simply using B&R, I personally think this is painful to get information on issues.

Hi Richard,

Adding every detected file to a single email notification is not a great idea.
Imagine if 10,000 files were detected and we had to list them all—the email would become far too long.

There may be a better way to handle this in a future version, after we have released our Web UI (v13).
Perhaps we could include a link in the email to the log file, which could then be accessed through our Web UI. Would something like that also help in your daily work?
To get any information we need to open the console (Which has restricted access of course),
May I ask, do you want to make the log files available to the application/server owner, or should only the backup administrator/help desk have access to them?

Best regards,
Fabian
