Not sure if this is the right place to raise a feature request.
I'm currently verifying backups for clients with SureBackup, and it's a great feature for VM workloads.
V12 introduced physical agent SureBackup, but unfortunately it's restricted due to lack of NIC Mapping. To verify the OS, you need to be able to ping and/or receive a heartbeat for the P2V'd VM. Heartbeat isn't possible without installing VMTools, leaving you with only ping as an option.
As you can't map the NIC, it is assigned to the first isolated network - but if you have multiple, there is a strong likelihood it will fall into the wrong group and fail. Because of this, I'm having to manually verify physical workloads instead of using the awesome SureBackup feature.
Are Veeam aware of this limitation and is there anything on the roadmap to fix this in the future please? It's been an issue since launch (V12).
Thanks.

Re: Feature Request - SureBackup NIC Mapping for Physical/Agent Servers
Hi Chrispyyy,
This is the correct way to raise feature requests.
Yes, this is currently a known limitation:

We have plans to address this limitation in a future version, but there is currently no ETA available.all these virtual machines are included in the first isolated network added during the virtual lab configuration.
Best,
Fabian
