Veeam Agent for Windows - Latest Version Download URL

Post by LThibx »

Is there a URL that will allow for downloading the latest version of Veeam Agent for Windows silently?
I have a PS script in my RMM that I use to install VAW. But I have to download the agent beforehand and save in an accessible location then access from the script.
Would be beneficial if we could just get the latest version from Veeam (with a generic name...like VeeamAgentWindows_Latest.Zip).
I can get other apps like Chrome or Firefox this way.

Hi Lonnie,

The Download Center is managed by our Website team, not by Veeam's Product Management or RnD Team.
You may request such functionality directly through a "general inquiry" support case: https://www.veeam.com/kb1771

Out of curiosity, why are you not using Veeam Backup & Replication or Veeam Service Provider Console to manage the deployment of such agents?

@Mildur. For one, sometimes these are just random devices, where the RMM is the first controlling mechanism, and I already have scripts built for many things when setting up a device.VB&R not always part of the environment But I do understand that I could do this with VSCP, and actually I do have a VSPC partially built. Just never got around to finishing the setup. I will have to complete that.

@Gostev. I had not thought about Winget. I will look into it.

Thanks to both of you.
Lonnie
