Hi All,
I would like to ask for feature request
To see more detail during the restore process.
When we want to restore Schema's and data from image level even for a large database it just mounts the files from the backup stores and you have very quick access to the schema's.
When you want to do point in time restore and for this we even did setup a staging server on the backupserver itself for performance improvement.
It first creates the database and uses then the log files. Now in our example we do speak about a database of 2,8TB it did run for 5h before we stopped it.
All you see is during this time loading data. It would be great if you really saw that steps that were going on and process of it.
For example creating databases so many % , pulling logs.....
All much more interesting then looking for 5 hours to screen what only shows a spinning wheel with text loading data.
We could see via sql management studio where the databases where created and I understand that 2,8Tb is a lot but not knowing how far it is and a ETA how long it's going to take can be frustrating.
Thanks for considering this.

Re: Feature request more details SQL restore process
Hi Benny,
I really appreciate your willingness to share this feedback with us. I completely agree that what you’re asking for would be a valuable improvement from a user experience standpoint. The request is noted, but as usual, I cannot provide an ETA.
Thanks!
