2 Veeam B&R Instances <-> One S3 Repository

Post by n_lev »

I'm sure I'm doing something obvious wrong, but can't seem to figure out what :-)

I have 2 Veeam B&R instances.
1 (Production) - backs up some local files to an S3 bucket
2 (SOS) - would only be used in a disaster recovery scenario to retrieve the backups (if Production Veeam is no longer available)

Production Veeam backs up files daily - no issues
SOS Veeam has a repository configured, pointing to the same bucket and repo in it.

As a test, I go to SOS Veeam and try to restore some latest backups.
This is where it starts to misbehave.
The SOS Veeam correctly shows the number of recovery points and their dates (up to last night).
But it does not want to see/recover any of the files since some weeks ago. Basically since the time I set up this repository in the SOS Veeam.

I've tried to run repository rescan. I also tried to take "ownership" of the repo again (going through report properties)... still the same behavior. SOS Veeam sees the correct number of points but doesn't show their "content":

Hi n_lev,

A Support Case will be the way to go on this one, as likely will need a deeper review than we can provide over the forums. Be sure to include logs from BOTH servers for Support to review.

Please share your case number once created. Thanks!
