Hello,
I'm trying to use VeeamZIP to quickly backup a VM and I keep getting the error below:
Server error: Failed to start VeeamZIP task.
Failed to start VeeamZIP task. Error: Potential data sovereignty violation: original and target computer locations do not match.
Original location: xxxxxe
Target location: xxxxxxn
Is there a way to override this and allow VeeamZIP to proceed?

Re: QuickZIP sovereignty override
Hey,
Please contact the support team and let them take a closer look, it's hard to troubleshoot through the forum.
Also, share the case ID here for reference.
Thanks!

Re: QuickZIP sovereignty override
Hi @t481,
Did you happen to trigger the VeeamZIP operation via script or API call (e.g., using REST or automation tools like Ansible)?
We're seeing the same "Potential data sovereignty violation" error, but only when launching the task programmatically.
When using the UI, the operation succeeds after simply acknowledging a popup warning.
If that's your case too, did you find any workaround or flag to override the error via API?
It would be great to hear whether you resolved it or involved support.
Thanks!
