Hi,
I would like to limit the bandwidth when executing backup copy jobs.
Therefore, I set “Traffic Throttling” in “Network Traffic Rules”.
However, the following message is displayed, and it seems that the bandwidth limitation function is not enabled.
-----
[19.07.2025 09:47:05.680] <34> Info (3) [ProxyThrottling] Throttling is not needed. Reason: Source IPs intersect with target IPs and self-throttling is not allowed.
-----
The source repository and target repository are assigned different IP addresses.
Additionally, since only one IP address is assigned, there is no IP address overlap.
What could be the cause of this message being displayed despite the above conditions?
I opened a case, but since I did not receive the expected response, I am also asking here as a precaution.
Case #07771700

Re: “Traffic Throttling” is not enabled for backup copy jobs
Hi yu_ooyama,
Thank you for sharing the details and the case number, and sorry to hear about the challenges.
Please continue with Support as I see that there is an active conversation continuing and Support is engaging additional internal resources on the matter.
The message itself is fairly straight forward and the reason for this message is exactly as it tells; while it's possible somehow unexpected information is being read, this will require further analysis of the logs to determine, so please continue with Support.
