What is the best method to backup agent machine that use dynamic IP?
I have installed backup agent to a test workstation that is using dynamic IP.
Created a new agent backup job, chose type workstation and mode managed by agent, set backup destination to our Veeam backup repository. The windows agent policy and agent backup job initially run successfully.
The problem arise when user rebooted the workstation and it boot up with new IP and now the connection between VBR and agent is lost.
Is there no workaround other than setting the workstation to use static IP?
I have a dozen of other workstations that's waiting in line, to be backed up using Veeam.

Hi NAS,
You can leverage your DNS server and add your workstations with their hostname.
Best regards,
Fabian
