I'm using VB4AWS to take a backup of RHEL9 with EBS encryption enabled, and then using VBR to copy the backup.
*KMS encryption is not used in the S3 Repository.
When I performed a "Restore to Amazon EC2" from VBR using the backup copy data, the RHEL9 EC2 instance was restored with EBS encryption disabled.
Since the AWS accounts for the VBR restore destination and the original restore destination are different, I first created and shared an AMI.
When I encrypted EBS when deploying the AMI to re-encrypt the EBS at the original restore destination, the RHEL OS won't boot.
Is there a way to keep RHEL running normally while maintaining the above operation?
Regards,

Re: Re-encrypting a restored RHEL EC2 instance
Hi,
I would suggest to open a support case for insight on what may be going wrong here.
